IDI was commissioned to establish, implement and support the management of the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) from selected markets across a range of sectors.
– A total of 120 investment projects – 80% Manufacturing and 20% Internationally Traded Services (H1 2017)
– To date the total capital invested by companies is over US$2bn and projected employment is over 12,000 (H1 2017)
– 85% of total investment is Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
– 27 countries are represented
